The roles of chromite flour in mineral pigments
Chromite flour plays a vital role in mineral pigments, which is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
Ⅰ. As a green mineral pigment
The main component of chromite flour is chromite, which contains chromium oxide, iron and magnesium. Among them, trivalent chromium (Cr2O3) is an important green mineral pigment. Natural chromite flour can be used directly as a green pigment without chemical synthesis, providing natural green for painting, handicrafts, antiques, cultural relics restoration and other fields.

1.Ceramic industry: As an additive for green ceramic glaze, it is used to produce various ceramic products that require green coloring.
2.Glass industry: As a green colorant for glass containers, such as green or olive beer bottles, red wine bottles, etc.
3.Ink and pigment industry: Ultrafine chromite flourcan be used to produce printing inks to improve the color and printing effect of inks.
4.Foundry industry: Used for coatings in key parts of sand casting to prevent defects such as sticking sand, cracks, and pores.
