What is Chrome flour?
Chrome flour is a product processed by natural chromium iron ore through crushing and sieving and grinding. Its main chemical component is CR2O3. This kind of sand is highly hot and stable. The role does not have chemical reflexes with iron oxide, and it also has the characteristics of solid -phase burning, which can prevent the penetration of melting metals and avoid the production of sticky sand defects.
Its main mineral group is FEO.CR2O3 with a density of 4.0 ~ 4.8g/cm3, Mo’s hardness is 7-9 levels, and the fire resistance is greater than 1900 ℃. Chemical reactions such as iron oxide. Because chromium iron ore is several times larger than silicon sand, and solid -phase sintering occurs during the melting metal pouring process, it is conducive to preventing melting metal penetration. According to these advantages of chromite sand, it can be applied to the production of various castings, which can solve the foundation quality problem of many products.
Chromite sand 20-70 mesh 40-70m mesh 50-100 mesh 70-140 mesh is usually used as casting materials in steel ,foundry fields, and 140# -0 is usually ground into 200# 325# 400# or even further ground which are used in glass, chemical fields etc.
