What coatings are produced by ultrafine chromite powder?
Chromite powder is made of high chromium alloy ultrafine powder vertical mill, ground by internal roller, tested by analyzer to reach the required fineness, and vacuum negative pressure shaft to the lower discharge port.
The application of ultrafine chromite powder in special coatings is mainly concentrated in the following areas:
1. High temperature refractory coating
Chromite powder is widely used in refractory coatings in high temperature environments due to its high refractoriness (over 1900℃) and alkaline slag resistance. Its high hardness and chemical stability can enhance the high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance of the coating, and is suitable for lining protection of high temperature equipment such as metallurgical furnaces and gas turbines.
2. Military-grade anti-corrosion coating
The chromium oxide (Cr₂O₃) in chromite powder can form a dense oxide film, effectively isolating the metal matrix from contact with the corrosive medium, and significantly improving the anti-corrosion performance of the coating. Such coatings are widely used in anti-corrosion protection in harsh environments such as military equipment and offshore facilities.
3. Wear-resistant and anti-corrosion coatings
Foundry coatings: Ultrafine chromite powder is used as a refractory aggregate in the preparation of casting coatings to prevent defects such as sand sticking and pores in castings and improve the surface quality of castings.
Mechanical wear-resistant coatings: Coatings with ultrafine chromite powder can significantly improve the hardness and wear resistance of the coating, and are often used for anti-wear protection of surfaces such as mechanical parts and chemical equipment.
4. Functional pigment coatings
Ink and printing coatings: 2000-2500 mesh ultrafine chromite powder is used to produce high-color mineral pigments and printing inks to improve the adhesion and weather resistance of inks.
Ceramic glazes: As a green colorant, it is used in ceramic glazes to give the coating bright colors and high temperature resistance.
V. Weather-resistant industrial coatings
Adding chromite powder to industrial coatings can enhance the weather resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and UV resistance of the coating, and is suitable for outdoor steel structures, bridges and other facilities that are exposed to harsh environments for a long time.
The above classification integrates the diversified applications of ultrafine chromite powder in special coatings, covering high temperature, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and functional demand scenarios.
