How does chromite powder work in glass manufacturing?

In order to improve some performance of glass,chromite powder will be added during manufacturing glass.

Except as pigment,chromite powder also can be added into raw material when producing glass.during glass melting,adding chromite powder,Cr3+ after melting will distribute evenly in glass.

The glass made via this way has stable and uniform color,can be used for produce high quality optics glass and aircraft instrument glass etc.

The effect of chromite powder in glass manufacturing mainly manifests as follows:

1.Increase hardness:Chromite powder can increase the hardness of glass,makes it more wear-resistant.

2.Enhance corrosion resistance,makes glass more durable under special environment.

3.Improve other performance of glass,for example,influence physical and chemical properties of glass,such as tramsparency,color stability etc
